A Call to Democrats and Liberals: STOP TRUMP

Well, it looks like the wild and crazy 2016 Presidential Primaries may come down to my great state of California on June 7, the final day of the primary election, which means it's time for Liberals to join the stop Trump movement, reregister Republican and vote against Trump to prevent him from getting the nomination outright.

Well, it looks like the wild and crazy 2016 Presidential Primaries may come down to my great state of California on June 7, the final day of the primary election, which means it's time for Liberals to join the stop Trump movement, reregister Republican and vote against Trump to prevent him from getting the nomination outright.

After Donald Trump's big victory in New York Tuesday night, what were once loud echoes of a contested convention in Cleveland come July drowned into silence. Donald Trump is officially now the only candidate who can reach the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination before the convention. He also made up for the ground he lost in Utah, Wisconsin and Colorado, as he collected 89 of New York's 95 delegates. Trump now needs 392 of the 676 delegates remaining to secure the nomination.

Trump needs 58 percent of the remaining delegates, and he is going to possibly sweep all five states in next Tuesday's races. After that, the map is smooth sailing for the billionaire. New Jersey, which has 51 winner-take-all delegates, will likely go to Trump, and California, a state with 172 delegates up at stake, has a CBS poll showing Trump with an 18-point lead. However, other recent polls have shown Trump with just a one-point lead over Senator Ted Cruz.

I am one of the most vehement Bernie Sanders supporters out there, but with his loss in New York Tuesday night, him becoming the Democratic nominee is a long shot. I have waited eagerly to vote for Senator Sanders for the longest time, but with the looming possibility that a demagogue like Trump could very well be the nominee for the Republicans, I have decided to reregister as a Republican, so I can vote for Ted Cruz, yes, I said Ted Cruz, the man who filibustered for nearly 24 hours to prevent Obamacare, to prevent Trump from reaching 1,237 delegates.

California's Republican Primary is a closed primary, which means you must be registered as a Republican to vote in it. This is America, and you can't doubt anything in this country. Remember, at the beginning of 1980, most people laughed at Ronald Reagan and said he was "too conservative" to be president, and then look what happened. Polls do show Hillary Clinton beating Trump by a large margin in the general election. With the media's, and especially FOX News' hatred towards Secretary Clinton, people will be very easily swayed to vote for a celebrity like Trump, a man who "tells it like it is." He "tells it like it is," because he has a lot of money and there are absolutely no repercussions towards him for anything he says.

This is why Liberals out there, and yes, this is a message to all Liberals, need to get out there re-register as Republicans or independents, depending on whether it's a closed, semi-closed or open primary, and vote for Senator Cruz to stop Trump. This needs to be a bipartisan effort to prevent someone like Trump, who is completely unpredictable, from having his hands on the nuclear briefcase.

Indiana is also a huge race that could hinder Trump's chances at the nomination, so my call is also to those of you in Indiana who may stumble across this article. However, for California; we've got 47 days to go until our primary, which means we have a lot of time to reregister Republican, which we have to in California, since it is a closed primary, and tell our family and friends to do the same. If we can start a movement in California to get Liberals to reregister, Cruz could pull off a major upset, and it will be the utter dagger to the heart in Trump's chance at the outright nomination.

You have until May 23 to register or reregister in California, so if you want to stop Trump, go to http://registertovote.ca.gov/ to reregister. You cannot only completely change the shape of this election, but you can prevent a very destructive four-to-eight years of a Trump presidency. The clock is ticking, so tell your family and tell your friends to reregister and stop Trump.
