Many of the most immediate and profound effects of climate change relate to water. The worst impacts could come from rising seas that flood our shores or from rivers overflowing their banks. In some places, the impacts may come not as a torrent of water at all -- but as waves of more frequent and prolonged drought as rains decrease and rivers dry up.
