So glad to read today that Romney officials have set the record straight.

Politico reports that Romney is seeking a retraction from the Washington Post. Campaign officials were outraged recently over the Washington Post's revelation that Bain Capital invested in firms that helped U.S. companies outsource American jobs to other countries. The implied consequence? The closure of companies here, resulting in job loses, and/or the assistance in relocating companies and jobs to other locations.

Officials in the Romney campaign are demanding a retraction.

And, why would they seek a retraction?

Simple. They argue that readers are being misled, especially since the Obama campaign has seized the opportunity to draw attention to this little known reality of Romney and Bain Capital's business dealings in the past. Romney officials are saying that the Obama campaign is confusing the public. "Outsourcing" is not really what Bain Capital was doing but something more benign which they describe as "offshoring."

I don't know about you, but that sure clears things up for me. Does it do the same for you?
