BREAKING! Right Wing Talk Show Host War EXPLODES! Listen to Levin Rip O'Reilly A New One

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

If you want to know what it's like to be a Philadelphia Sixers fan, hating Celtic legend Larry Bird, only to wake up one glorious morning to find he's been traded to the Sixers, yesterday was your day.

The morning began with Bill O'Reilly ripping into Right wing talk show hosts...ALL OF THEM, saving a special condemnation for Rush Limbaugh.

Some of his comments included...

"Kool-aid drinking idiots"

"Right wing liars."

"They don't care if you suffer."

There was more, but that wasn't the best.

That came last night when Mark Levin, perhaps the loudest of the Lords of Loud, who took on Big Bad Bully Bill. Keith Olbermann could not have done it better.

Some of Dr. Levin's choice "what he thinks of Bill include...

"Paid to be arrogant and stupid."

"A moron"

"Your ratings suck."
But the best...

"You paid more in hush money for your little phone sex than I've ever earned."

For this I can only one thing that I never thought I would ever say...

Thank you, Dr. Levin. I owe you one.

That was beautiful!

Here's to hoping this is where O'Reilly has jumped the shark and will end up on the ash heap of media history.

O'Reilly always tries to do the right thing. I would hate to see how you left wing nuts would treat Jesus if he were here on earth today!

O'Reilly is not a ``conservative'' in the ideological sense. He is a reactionary conservative, ruled by emotions like fear and jealousy. He often comes across as the loudest, meanest guy in the bar. But, sometimes, even those guys get it right. O'Reilly's Fox News Channel has been so unfair and so unbalanced for so long that their propagada machine has backed up on them like a clogged toilet. It would be great to watch a fire-breathing a--hole like Levin debate a bully like O'Reilly. Maybe they would come to blows; it would be a win-win for everyone.

"You paid more in hush money for your little phone sex than I've ever earned."

What a great line! It was about a $10 million phone sex session for O'Reilly. But O'Reilly is an idiot, as are all these right-wing radios nuts.

Personally, and this is just my humble opinion, I think O'Reilly is like many of us. And when I say that, I mean we aren't really "Liberal" or "Conservative" - but a bit of both. That is why a "Liberal" may think Govt should help poor folks, but then get upset when the system is played by some of those poor folks. Or a "Conservative" may feel that taxes are not the best thing in the world, but does understand that it's needed and really doesn't mind paying it as long as it's used for the betterment of society - like in programs like headstart that has a proven track record.

Unfortunately for Bill, he's stuck at Fox News and so he has to play that base. Also add in his personal character flaws and you get what you see now. That's why sometimes when you watch him, you may find yourself nodding in agreement or wanting to throw a REAL brick at your TV.

I never understood why O'Reilly was tagged with the "Conservative" label. Yeah, he thought Clinton should have been impeached, exposed Jesse Jackson as a tax cheat and extortionist, and believes rap music is destroying youth. But other than that:

He was a teacher, he believes public schools are underfunded, and that Bobby Kennedy was the most qualified man to ever seek the White House. He also thinks Global Warming is real, and that we need to put government investment into building a Hydrogen economy.

There is no love lost between Rush and Bill. Just last summer, in an interview with the New York Times magazine, Rush said about O'Reilly, "Someone"s got to say it: the man is Ted Baxter."
