Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Zoe, January Jones, Selma Blair, and a sea of other celebs came out to watch Nacho Figueras take his team to victory at the 6th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park.

Finally L.A. got a break from the 90+ degree heat with a perfect day for polo and a sold-out crowd of over 5,000 guests in attendance.

The poster child for polo, Nacho Figueras spoke briefly prior to his team Black Watch, taking on Team Veuve Clicquot.

Figueras is a big fan of the historic location, the last existing polo field in Los Angeles. "I think Will Rogers would be proud of us; I feel that he, Spencer Tracy and Clark Gable, they're all riding around here with us. And Angelenos have really embraced the event. This has been a polo field for 90 years; there's an amazing history."

The VIP section was a variegated sea of polo fans - and what an eclectic mix it was - especially when it came to fashion. Best dressed - albeit the least likely outfits to ever be seen at a polo match - belonged to model Langley Fox Hemingway, donning a vintage skirt, a top by Capulet and the most amazing sunglasses onsite by Karen Walker. Another fab outfit was worn by singer/songwriterCaroline Vreeland, a standout in a backless pantsuit by Zimmerman.

Actress Michelle Trachtenberg watched the game enthusiastically from the sidelines in the Veuve Clicquot Rose Garden, amid fellow actors/actresses like Nina Dobrev, Jesse Metcalfe and Scott Foley. When asked what team she was rooting for, Trachtenberg mused, "I'm for team amazing athleticism."

While both teams lived up Trachtenberg's expectations, inevitably it was Team Black Watch who showed to be the better of the two, winning 9-5. And a very special last note on the event: not only was this the first time ever, that Nacho's wife, Delfina Blaquier played alongside her husband, she was also awarded MVP, as she was the leader in that 9-5 victory.
