These days beauty junkies are puckering up to make the cut for the cosmetic house call. But entrée into the medical company of the moment isn't exactly easy: their phone number is unlisted. For the aging beauty, finding the coveted 10 digits to Los Angeles Concierge Aesthetic Medicine is proving harder than getting into Studio 54 back in the day. Let's just say you have to move in certain circles to get it.

Maybe the operation is so clandestine because the clientele includes some of Hollywood's A-list actresses who prefer not being seen leaving a doctor's office with unsightly needle marks -- a telltale sign of Botox or Restalyne. "Given the caliber of people we're treating they want their privacy," says 38-year old C. Auden Mallas, the porcelain-skinned physician assistant frequently dispatched throughout Los Angeles to the homes of the rich and famous.
Ms. Mallas is tight-lipped -- and not due to a recent procedure -- about the operation and her client list. After all, she's seen her share of paparazzi lurking about having worked for a number of high profile dermatologists and plastic surgeons on both coasts.

In the era of celebrity weeklies and insta-Internet embarrassment, paparazzi are relentless in their quest to get celebrities in compromising and vulnerable positions, which one certainly is when leaving the plastic surgeon's office. So for a simple office procedure it may just be a bit more civilized to do it in the privacy of one's home to avoid the unexpected close-up and the ensuing tabloid spread.

To combat those aggressive cameramen even one of the city's top plastic surgeons, Dr. Raj Kanodia is willing to make the occasional house call. And who can blame him: outside his office building is a paparazzi hotspot.
Although he's known for shaping some of the best noses and careers of Hollywood's A-list, he also injects his patients with fillers and Botox once a week. "The injection patients sometimes never make it inside," explains Kanodia, as he masterfully injected Botox into the forehead of a patient on a Thursday afternoon. "They're not able to dodge the paparazzi so sometimes I have to make house calls."

But with a thriving business where he does up to 300 noses a year, he doesn't always have time to make house calls. And, quite sensibly, he prefers the office because of the lighting and medical equipment at his disposal. When a high-profile patient comes in they try to find ways to throw off the paparazzi. "We have to figure out decoys," says Kanodia. "The celebrity comes in a certain car and we have to change the car." He is quick to add, "Once they come in the building they are fine."

But its not just celebrities seeking the house call, certain social women like the convenience of it as well. On a recent Monday afternoon, Ms. Mallas was summoned to the home of a Westside socialite. Clad in a pair of capri pants, a cardigan sweater, and toting a large, black (50cm) Birkin bag, Ms. Mallas made her way into the estate. She was greeted at the door by a blonde 30-something client who was dealing with a host of vexing social problems. "My husband doesn't know I do this," she confesses, then adds, "And I need to go out in four hours and look like I haven't done anything."

Mallas shakes her head knowingly and then throws open her Birkin which is filled with such items as Botox on ice, numbing solutions and Restalyne. Next, she picked up a black Prada make-up case and removed a 20-percent solution of glycolic peels.

Then the two go up a marble stair case and begin a 20-minute suite of procedures which includes Botox, Restalyne and a glycolic peel. They emerge with big smiles, as they head back down the stairs. "I love it," the patient says her face a just a little red from the injections. "I never have to sit and wait in a doctor's office and she's amazing."

After a little more chatting, the physicians assistant gives her the $1,000 bill, which, incidentally, is right about what a top Beverly Hill doctor would charge if not a little less. After getting her check, Ms. Mallas gives her patient a warm embrace and heads out the door. She has another few house calls. She fits in between 8 to 10 patients a day.

When asked why they keep their number unlisted, she sighs, "We don't want people calling all the time," she says while getting into her black Porsche Cayenne. "It is strictly by referral." Well, their number may be unlisted, but if you're desperate to book an appointment Beauty Undercover has found their email.

Joanna Krupa's Naked Crucifix PETA Ad Photo (NSFW Picture)

"Dancing With The Stars" contestant and playboy model Joanna Krupa has found herself at the center of controversy with the launch of a new PETA campaign. Krupa is seen posing with nothing but a halo and carefully placed crucifix to promote pet adoption. Catholic critics have not received the ad well.

PETA is known for its shock tactics, and use of naked celebrities in its campaigns. This is Krupa's second photo shoot with the animal welfare charity. The first ran with the signature tagline, "I'd rather go naked than wear fur."

Stoudemire's exposed chest and arms showcase his array of tattoos, accompanied by the ad text, "INK, NOT MINK." At the bottom, the ad reads, "Be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs."

At PETA's web site, the Suns star says, "I wouldn't want to see anything cruel ... happen to any animals just for ... fashion." The site also has a video that includes footage of Stoudemire shooting hoops shirtless.

Babilonia skated at Rockefeller Center in a revealing outfit that showcased her figure and the large anti-fur sign she carried. In a press release, Babilonia said, "Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean we should be cold inside. There are many more warm things to wear nowadays than fur." Ron Artest On Jimmy Kimmel: Nearly Naked, Artest Talks Kobe, "Sexy Shorts" (VIDEO)

Ron Artest stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night, shocking the crowd by entering stage in shorts and nothing else. Artest rationalized the episode by explaining that "I was running late." The Laker was poking fun at a story ESPN.com writer Bill Simmons related on Kimmel's show earlier this month, in which Artest, late for a game, allegedly hopped on a team bus in his underwear.

In addition to his skimpy attire, Artest had Kimmel's name shaved into the back of his head (see photo below). Kimmel asked Artest about Simmons' story, and Artest told his own version:

I was getting dressed in my room, such as today, and I had these sexy shorts on, such as these, and they called them boxers. But these are shorts, see? I can even put your pen in my pocket.... I was not freeballing.

Artest also talked about walking in on Kobe Bryant in the shower and introducing Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian.

As Hester was tackled, his pants came down his legs, exposing his rear end to a nationally televised audience on NBC. Unfortunately for the Bears, Hester's vivid display was not enough to drive his team to victory. Cutler threw an interception three plays later, effectively ending the game.

NEW YORK -- Heidi Klum and her post-baby body led the parade at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show, which returned to New York with some fresh faces after four years on the road.

The lingerie retailer inducted five more women into its "Angel" ranks - a designation reserved for top models - in front of a packed house Thursday night at the Lexington Avenue Armory. They are Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson and Candice Swanepoel.

But Klum, who gave birth to a daughter five weeks ago, was the audience favorite in her purple corset covered with a half gown with poufs of tulle. She emerged from the huge, castlelike set to applause.

Musical guest The Black Eyed Peas - especially Fergie, its only female member, who wore a black, jeweled bodysuit - was another crowd-pleaser. Fergie came out later in a green corset gown.

Of course, fashion really is secondary here. Victoria's Secret always puts on an elaborate production (this time with a choir, acrobatic dancers and a giant polka-dot dog balloon) and fuels hype about its models. An online model search started earlier this month and is now down to two contestants, one of whom will be chosen by the public to appear in the televised version of the fashion show that CBS will air Dec. 1.

"I could watch this online, but it's a fun scene," said Russell Simmons from his front row seat. "This show is always fun and a great production."

"It's always a spectacular," agreed costume designer Patricia Field. "Victoria's Secret does that extra thing I like."

Klum, who normally wears the most elaborate outfits, only appeared once, so it was former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Marissa Miller who had the honor of wearing a $3 million, diamond-encrusted bra.

Splashy jewels, it seemed, were one of the themes of the show with many models dripping in diamonds, crystals and other bling. Others wore faux fur stoles over their bras and panties. Thigh-high boots were the other must-have accessory.

Outfits fell into one of four themes: Star Trooper with breast plates and body armor; Pink Planet, which had a hippie vibe; the ethereal Enchanted Forest; and Romantic Journey that featured a lot of lace.

Compared to previous years, the overall collection didn't seem as skimpy, although Miranda Kerr wore an itsy-bitsy black thong get-up that might have to be edited out of the TV show.

Danes, who wed fellow actor Hugh Dancy earlier this year, wore a black dress with cap sleeves that showed off more than just her arms.

The Richard Linklater movie opens in the US later this month.

"Right now, I'm more in a Gatsby phase," Dree says, admitting that she currently prefers novels by Hemingway's longtime friend F Scott Fitzgerald. "I will say though, that Ernest had a great look, that scruffy beer [sic] look. I'm into that. A little scruff goes a long way."

Michael Phelps is gearing up for a weekend showdown with Paul Biedermann at the World Cup in Berlin. Biedermann beat Phelps in the 200 freestyle in August.

Earlier this week Phelps placed second at the Short Course World Championships in the 200 IM in Stockholm and didn't even final in other events.

Phelps wore the old style bathing suit, just shorts, about to become regulation again. No more full body speed suits, as they've been banned starting next year.
