There are two main characteristics of the abuser: narcissism and grandiosity. The narcissist cares only for his own needs. And many of these people are like the Pied Piper -- the energetic coach, for example.
The list of disappeared priests could go on and on. It is not our place to judge their particular issues. Yet, I really do believe it should be our place to reflect and ask: What is it that makes good priests?
