Thirty years ago! Scary! Yet inspiring. (Certainly most millennials I encounter are ripping off that era as fast as their iPad-laden hands can grab.) For your pleasure and edification, I was there (and then), and I reflect.
Justin Timberlake was, as always, a great "SNL" host and seems to actually be enjoying every minute he's on screen -- which was a lot, considering that Timberlake, including his musical performances, appeared in all but two segments last night.
We all have a First Amendment right to begin our arguments with some version of "Jane, you ignorant slut." We can't rely on censors to enforce civility. But we needn't say all the terrible things we're allowed to say.
