Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem

This is the first time that the federal government has declared a widespread tree species in danger of imminent extinction because of climate change.

Kerry Gunther, Yellowstone's chief grizzly biologist, figured that the odds of being attacked by a grizzly in Yellowstone are one in 2,000,000. The odds of being struck by lightning are one in 500,000. Is the reverend also cursing the sky?

"We've been saying that whitebark pine will be functionally lost in the ecosystem. I would say now that it has already been functionally lost in much of the ecosystem," Jesse announces flatly.
