Green idea: We need the power companies to give us a running, real time tally of the energy we're using so we gauge and minimze. Thoughts?

Anyone ever listen to Ring Of Fire radio program on the weekends on Air America network? Then you have been privileged to hear Bobby Kennedy, Jr and Mike Papantonio and guests and their wonderful program and you will understand when I say--here is my Dream Ticket for the upcoming election. If he is truly serious about turning around global warming, Obama should pick Bobby Kennedy as his VP. He is the greatest, most sincere and most rabid environmentalist we have today. Clinton/Gore ran on an environmentalist-alternative energy platform in '92 and wasted 8 years not delivering on that promise. That is why I dont trust Gore to deliver today. On the other hand Bobby Kennedy would be certain to deliver and get us on the post petro path of alternative energy and environmental protection and clean up. Rumor has it that Bobby has been comtemplating a senatorial run so he is now ready to serve in this fashion (in the proud tradition of his wonderful family). And my choice for Attorney General would be his show partner Mike Papantonio, the fantastic, civil rights and environmental lawyer and all around kick ass left wing attack dog. What say you?

Geo. Bush admistration and all that have been part of it, still at it. At least they are consistant.

I've heard enough in the news about all these news items "the mainstream media forgot to report." Hint: That's because they were reported. Read. Listen. Learn.

There is only one reason why John Ashcroft would claim that waterboarding isn't torture. That reason is that it was common practice when he was AG, and if he admits it is torture, he is legally responsible for torture. And apparently now, if someone just says it isn't illegal, it isn't illegal, no matter what the legal precedent might be.

I am personally certain that waterboarding was one of the light torture techniques they used. The other, hard techniques, have yet to be revealed, in their depravity and inhumanity, but it's not hard to imagine what they are. What is hard to imagine is that these people would have had ANY limits in their sadism and inhuman savagery.

If these criminals are not brought to justice, there will be blowback against us all in this country. The world is used to third world despots doing this sort of thing, but when the "champion of democracy and human rights" becomes no more than a third world despot, people will certainly notice, and act accordingly. They will know they have nothing to lose in a world where the most powerful nation on Earth is really nothing more than a lawless rogue nation that does as it pleases against those it considers to not be human, and thus not deserving of human rights.

Maybe Mr. Ashcroft should be waterboarded before he decides.

Glad to hear that Ford has finally caught on. By the time they roll out their smaller fuel efficient cars the world will be clamoring for big gas guzzlers again.

Contraception = abortion? These people are truly mad.
