At a hearing in Los Angeles. a judge will decide whether to terminate the conservatorship that has controlled the pop star’s life for nearly 14 years.
“Britney Spears will not be extorted,” the filing says.
The singer's attorney, Matthew Rosengart, said the investigation is “overblown sensational tabloid fodder."
Spears is not expected to speak again at the afternoon hearing but she may weigh in as she seeks to hire a lawyer of her choice.
James Spears says the court must investigate “serious allegations regarding forced labor, forced medical treatment and therapy, improper medical care, and limitations on personal rights.”
