Not so long ago, life was easy for xenophobes. But as the Latino population grows at a faster rate than the immigrant population, Hispanics are now more likely to be born and raised in America, as full-blooded American citizens.
The Latino vote that reelected Barack Obama two months ago sent a clear message to not only politicians, but also to the government and a business community that still struggles to accept that the demographic in this country changed.
Throughout our country, Latinos live in and contribute to an increasingly diverse America. And for women especially, balancing the demands of intertwined cultures can be challenging. In recognition of this, I am creating the Eva Longoria Foundation.
