It is no coincidence that Iran fired its salvo of 9 ballistic missiles on July 9 while the G-8 leaders in Japan were calling on Iran to suspend its uranium-enrichment program.

When the Bush-bashing comes from the likes of John Bolton, it's time to take a deep breath, get a firm grip on those jerking knees and give praise where praise is due.

The North Koreans want the sanctions associated with being on the terrorism list removed. The U.S. Congress won't remove those sanctions without verification. That is the way it ought to work.

The US is kind of like a big corporation, taking over other companies -- countries -- and rebuilding them in its image. We install leaders, or CEOs, of these countries in the name of "Freedom."

What is particularly scary about McCain's policy approach toward Iran and North Korea is that he is willing to go to war again without negotiating with them.

John McCain's speech on nuclear weapons today seems to adopt the narrowest of lenses in dealing with nuclear weapons, and suggests he doesn't really get the complexity of these issues.
