When you see a story on Northern Ireland that is really about its misdirected youth causing violence, try and think of the vast majority of "Nor'n Iron" that could care less about the their ancestors' grudges.

While nobody would argue that the government shouldn't take all necessary and justifiable steps to prevent terrorism, what rational person would argue that turning extremists away from violence runs contrary to that goal?

It is very likely that if the U.S. were to engage Hamas diplomatically, it would be much easier to achieve a peaceful political resolution of the Israel/Palestine conflict.
