Now that we're having a serious conversation about capitalism, we can also have a conversation about solutions. Along with calling out flaws of capitalism, I'm proposing four solutions that would fix the most glaring problems in capitalism and blaze a new path forward for the next generation.
The hard truth is that the pummeling the GOP got in the election hasn't moved them one inch from their stuck in cement tax orthodoxy that raising taxes on the rich kills jobs and does little to shave down the trillions racked up from the budget deficit.
It is not surprising that Congress's approval rating is, for the first time, in single digits. The views of the American people who -- across party lines and all demographics -- consistently say "do not cut Social Security," "Do not cut Medicare" lack standing in this policy discussion.
