It's time for people to recognize that the same tools that are being used to hinder the progress of equal rights for LGBT Americans have been employed throughout U.S. history against other minorities.

Obama did a much better job of reaching out to young, white evangelicals than Kerry did. It's therefore unsurprising that Obama employs the rhetoric of an earlier evangelical in his speeches.
