Introduced to the world as the daughter of President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan, Patti Davis has created a legacy of her own as the New York Times bestselling author of eleven books. Her latest is the powerful novel titled The Earth Breaks In Colors, which tells the story of a mixed-race friendship that gets tested by a racially fueled incident.

In the clip below, Davis shares how she believes her father would have felt about the racial rhetoric uttered by Donald Trump and others this election season, and responds to the criticism that race baiting was very much a reality in the Reagan years.
