Tonight on PBS, I'm joined by New York Times columnist and best-selling author, Nicholas Kristof. He is the recipient of two Pulitzer Prizes and his latest book, co-written with his wife and frequent collaborator, Sheryl WuDunn is titled A Path Appears which delineates what individuals can do to have the most positive impact when tackling some of the world's most difficult problems. We also discussed what turned out to be a very contentious column he recently wrote for the NYT titled, "When Whites Just Don't Get It," which detailed the hidden bias that affects many in this country. The response to that first column was so combative, he wrote a second column, "When Whites Just Don't Get It, Part 2".

In the clip below, Nicholas discusses the impetus for writing that first column and his reaction to the pushback he received.
