Earlier today, I sat down with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. During the conversation, I asked her about the military crisis in the Republic of Georgia and her views on President Bush's decision to attend the Olympics in Beijing.

The full conversation airs tonight on PBS.

Bush would have never made it to the Olympics if you would have done your job and just impeached the man.

Impeachable reasons will become concrete after the wall of "Executive Privilege" comes tumbling down. Before too much longer we will get to see the Pilsbury Doughboy plead the Fifth over and over. That will make us all feel even better about this 'administration' I am sure.

War , DOJ , Plame, missing e-mails, using unauthorized internal-no-records communication system, secret energy policy, voting irregularities, torture, wiretapping, just to name the headliners.

Stay tuned....

I tried to provide this link to "Cindy for congress" which seems on topic and relevant to this conversation but my comments were scrubbed. I wonder why.

something is wrong with that picture. nancy has problems with bush but has refused to do anything about it. georgia invades a russian ally and putin attacks georgia. a bunch of saudis based in afghanistan bomb the usa so bush attacks iraq. putin looks presidential. nancy and bush look like marionettes

Nancy, you took impeachment off the table. That was your Iraq moment. True, it didn't cost lives and billions of dollars, but it cost us in the pursuit of standing as a beacon for justice to the rest of the world. The world is growing up and getting wise. Nations like China and Russia will no longer be lectured about human rights from a country that doesn't hold it's own questionable leaders accountable.

I have only two questions for Nancy.
Who are the Democrats that secretly supported GW Bush's torture and spying?
Why should they be protected?

Easy....

#1. Probably the vast majority either covertly or overtly.

#2. Because they did what they thought was best for the safety and security of this country.

And acted in direct opposition to and in violation of the law and all conventional wisdom available on the subject of torture.
The fruits of their deeds have only gained us greater contempt from those we hope to enlighten.

Nancy, you have the right to second guess the President on foreign policy if you want, but when the same thing happens to the next President don't get all indignant about it, OK? Turnabout is fair play.

Tavis, you should have asked about offshore drilling to decrease US reliance of foreign oil!

The Alaska pipeline had the same argument given years ago for its building in spite of all of the environmental concerns. "US reliance on foreign oil" was the phrase used then, too. And none of that oil is shipped to the US. It all goes abroad.

Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.

Looks like it will be "shame on us". It amazes me that O Bama and P elosi would rather capitulate to the Republicans instead of educating the American People. Instead of "allowing for off-shore drilling as long as its part of a comprehensive package"... they should tell the people that any drilling done will be at the pleasure of the oil companies. They should let the people know that by "allowing" off shore drilling... they will simply give the oil companies a chance to obtain leases to the "property". Once the oil companies "own" the properties... they can do whatever they want... which may be NO DRILLING. Even if they do drill... they don't have to put a drop of it on the market.. and no one can make them because it will be THEIR PERSONAL PRIVATE PROPERTY.

Does policy position justify fraud, forgery, and falsehood?
What will you do now that the record is undeniable?
When will you open your eyes to the facts?
