In today's very special "The Day After Yesterday" edition of Wilshire & Washington, Zach Tumin of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government joins our hosts to talk technology in the new administration. The Obama Campaign ran the first "social network campaign" in this country's history, leveraging every tool the tech industry has been pushing for the last two decades to drive voters and connect volunteers. How will that carry over into an Obama administration? Can they put government online for the first time, really becoming the real first presidency of the 21st century? As one of the most esteemed minds in social networks, Tumin brings his sophisticated analysis to these pressing questions, also talking the possible creation of a Chief Technology Officer in the administration.

Ted Johnson, Maegan Carberry, and Teresa Valdez-Klein also weigh in on last night's election results, including whether an Obama administration might change the level of political discourse in America as well as California's Proposition 8, which changes the California Constitution to ban gay marriage. Why did it pass in one of the most liberal states in the union, and what can be done in the future to stop these attacks on our freedoms from passing? Maegan and Teresa also both share their experiences on Election Night, covering the emotional highs, the feeling of public connectivity with total strangers over Obama's election, and Maegan's own personal experience as a voting clerk.
