Most of us don't have a chunk of cash to toss down and completely replenish our seasonal wardrobes. Not even close (I wish!). We make due with what we have, try to wear or layer our clothes a little differently, and, if we're lucky, we get to add a few new items.

So if you can add a few new stylish pieces to your closet for fall, which ones should you choose? A good pair of jeans, some comfy long-sleeved T-shirts, one simple dress, some boots? These are all good things to have.

7 Must-Have Fall 2010 Style Essentials Under $100

1. Perfect Scarf
As we transition into fall, it's essential to carry a lovely scarf in your handbag. You never know when it's going to get a little chilly or when you might need to spiff up your outfit. Try Dots and Dyes Scarf ($49.50) at Madewell.
(Here are 15 ways to wear a scarf.)

2. Ankle Boots
Ankle boots are the perfect fall-to-winter shoe in any style, from lace-up to pull-on or zips. Adorable with tights and leggings. A little warmer with your favorite skinny jeans. Try BCBGMAXAZRIA Women's Harriet Wallaby Wedge in Mahogany ($94.50) at Amazon.
(Check out even more hot boots -- some under $30!)

3. Black Jeans
Speaking of jeans, black jeans are another essential (really love the super-black ones that almost look like trousers). You can dress them up. You can dress them down. Either way, you look fabulous. Try Black Bootcut Studded Jeans ($69.50) at The Limited.

4. Long, Simple Necklace
Perfectly paired with light sweaters or long-sleeved T-shirts. Pick a shape you love, and it'll add just the right amount of flair to your look. Try Brass Necklace -- Small Triangle ($30) at Uniform Natural.
(Where to find unique, affordable jewelry.)

5. Bold, Adorable Jacket
Pick up a well-fitting jacket in a bold color, texture, or pattern. It can spice up your look even when you're just wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Try Tucker for Target Hooded Wrap Jacket - Orange Herringbone ($44.99) at Target.
(These adorable & affordable military jackets are essential.)

6. Pretty Tights
Sure, black tights always come in handy. But this fall, bring in some lovely colors and textures. A cute pair of tights can make even a boring black dress lots more fun. Try Delightfully Warm Tights in Plum ($21.99) at ModCloth.
(Learn how to wear lace tights -- totally hot!)

7. Striped T-Shirt
Stripes are the "it" trend this season, and you can find many affordable options. Find one that you like, but don't pay a lot for it. This is a fun essential this fall but may be a passing trend. Try Frenchie Knit Top ($17.80) at Forever 21.
