Here's a recipe you NEED this summer. The kids have their popsicles to cool down, and you can have this amazing whiskey slushie. I know it sounds kind of weird, but trust me and try it, and you will thank me.

I'm much more of wine girl than a whiskey sipper, but when I tasted this, I was blown away. It's refreshing, delicious, and a little bit dangerous, because it goes down so well. The alcohol does something to the ice that makes it the most amazing consistency, and the combination of lemonade, tea, orange juice and sugar is perfection. This recipe from Her View From Home is great for parties, especially because you can make it ahead of time and just pull it out of your freezer when you're ready for the fun to begin. Just make sure the kids know it's not for them!

Whiskey Slushie

2 cups boiling water
4 tea bags boiled for 10 minutes (in the two cups of water)
2 small or 1 large frozen can of lemonade
1 small frozen can of orange juice
2 cups of sugar
7 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of whiskey

Mix together.

Freeze.
