We can't be sure it was him but:
My roommate Scott, the flight attendant, maintains that he saw David Gergen backstage at Coachella, the Mojave stage, chatting with members of British Sea Power. "Really amazing stuff," he kept saying to the band. "He was sweating and bobbing his head. There was a worn-out patch on his fanny pack, but I couldn't make out the lettering. It was either 'No Fear,' or 'Norafen,' which I think is an anti-inflammatory medication used to relieve sore muscles." Scott was really impressed because Gergen's calf muscles are huge. "He must cycle a lot to work," Scott said, probably to make me jealous. Scott isn't 100 percent sure it was David Gergen, but... "If it's not David Gergen, then it was somebody clearly trying to pass himself off as David Gergen...which is totally BS."
I am also very excited to see David Rees writing on the blog. I am a huge fan of "Tank McNamara," and have been very upset since they removed it from my local paper.
