Zergotita is an idiot. Spitzer is a DEMOCRAT, same as OBAMA. It is going to hurt OBAMA as much as Hillary, since it re-inforces the stereotype that Democrats are a punch of libertines. It may also hurt him in his much bally-hooed bid to turn red America blue.
It won't hurt Hillary. People have been reminded ENDLESSLY of BJs in the White House by a-holes like Zergotita, but people want Clinton back anyway.
Why? Its the ECONOMY stupid. And Bill Clinton fixed the economy. I could care less if he gets 15 BJs a day, if he can stop a recession. Everybody KNOWS about Clinton. Its yesterdays news. And it hasn't stopped Hillary yet.
Now. Maybe Zergotita can start talking about Rezko and Obama. That's even BETTER than BJ's. And whatever juicy skeletons are going to come dancing out of Obama's closet in the next few weeks.
Why The Spitzer Scandal Should Work For Obama
This delicious piece of trash reminds everybody of the yuck factor that haunts the Clinton Restoration movement. It's subliminal, but that could make it even better. Obama's awful challenge right now is to remind Democrats of how McCain will destroy the Clintons in the general election without having Obama sink to the level of Hillary's as far as I know knife thrust. Spitzer will remind everyone of Monica -- and all the others too. He will remind them of blow jobs in the White House. He will remind them of how Hillary was willing to destroy women her husband exploited in service of their weird life-long power pact.
Spitzer could do all this without Obama saying a word.
This is important because public memory is short and Democrats have been letting Hillary get away with jokes about evil men and earning wrinkles. Feminist Democrats have led the way. Imagine what, say, Gloria Steinem would have said if a Republican president were caught with DNA evidence on a White House intern's dress. And imagine the judgments that would have descended upon the wife who enabled him.
If the Clintons get the Democratic nomination this will all come roaring back -- and John McCain will win because the disgust factor, the sheer image of Big Dog Bill strutting around those private White House rooms, will cause the bile rise up in the national gizzard when November comes. It will keep millions of nauseated swing voters home and we will have a third Bush term. Plus.
Spitzer may make it easier for Obama to avoid getting down in the gutter with the Clintons on this decisive issue. May the scandal continue -- the more salacious details the better.

This should not be billed as a Dem on Dem issue. This should be used to bring the Larry Craig, David Vitter scandals back into the spotlight. Spitzer needs to resign saying it's because it's the right thing to do after doing something so horribly wrong. Then he needs to question why Craig and Vitter, extremely vocal proponents of what's right, did not do the same thing after betraying their constituencies. the Dems can use this to help postpone McCain's headstart against them in the general.

I agree with Mr. de Zengotita about the Spitzer scandal invoking images of Bill Clinton's infidelities and what the White House would be like if there were a 3rd Clinton term. My first thought when the story broke was this is exactly what the next 4 years would be about - Bill's zipper. Scandals. File-gate, campaign donor-gate, lobbyist-gate, tax returns-gate, library donor-gate. Drama, drama, drama and nothing useful would get done.
As a woman, I do not buy the all men are pigs and shouldn't be in office any more than I think women can't rule because of their hormones. Hillary is not better because she isn't a man. Obama isn't better because he isn't a woman. Candidates and politicians should be judged by their actions.
As to actions, one of the reasons I cannot and will not vote for Hillary Clinton is how she treated the women that were victims of Bill Clinton's sexual advances. Hillary hired a detective, Jack Palladino, to find out every bit of dirt he could on Bill's victims so Hillary could blackmail them into silence. THAT to me is a betrayal of women.

John Kerry is on the afghanistan sub-committee, which is part of the senate armed forces committee. Both Kerry who is the chair of the Afghanistan sub-committee and Lugar (R-Indiana) who is a member of the sub-committee confirmed this and called Clinton's comments unfair and misleading. Also, the Afghanistan sub-committe HAS held several hearings this year. European relations sub-committee has held 7 hearings in the last 9 years. So this sub-committee historically meets rarely and has held very few hearings. Please check the senate website and checkout the facts before spreading false and ignorant comments.
Better not celebrate yet. If you notice, Obama isn't. Why? Because his own gubernatorial scandal in Illinois is shortly to unfold. The big difference in the two situations being that Clinton had nothing to do with Spitzer's corruption, but Obama is totally complicit in Rod's shady deals. You are wrong! First of all Blagovich has not been indicted for anything - he is under investigation. If you are refering to the Rezko trial, one of Chicago's most prominent investigative journalists, Carol Marin, says in last Sunday's Chicago Sun-Times editorial " Here's what's up at the Rezko trial, gov..", "Obama has no real connection to this case (Rezko). You do."
While all the Chicago journalists say that Obama hasn't told "them" the full story, the facts of the trial are eveident. Marin is in the courtroom daily. Obama has no connection. With that said, any politician doing any of the states business with Blagovich, be them Republicans or Democrats, could been seen as "shady", because Blagovich IS more than shady.
The bigger national and local story is Foster winning Hastert's congressional seat! The implications are huge - it was a seperate election - people went to the polls to vote just for this seat. Obama campaigned for Foster and McCain for Oberweis - in the most Republican district a Democrat won. This shows the strength of Obama in a Republican stronghold and how long his coat tails are.
What is really sad is that scandals like this shouldn't have to happen to remind people about
the Clinton White House. The whole 8 years was scandal after scandal and denial after denial.
