If you're stuck on an island without survival essentials, you're pretty much screwed, unless it's Temptation Island, in which case you're gonna be screwed no matter what! Hooking you up with an island of party essentials, Brewers' PicNyc.

From the team behind Meatopia and Pig Island, this first-ever two day boozevent's kicking off the summer by bringing top-notch brewers together with purveyors of some of the city's best food, lining their stations along a stretch of Gov Island known as Colonel's Row for its 19thC Officer's Quarters, a perfect setting for you to get historically housed. The breakdown:

Beer: Shaping up as a veritable summer slam tag team match between NY and Illinois craft brewers, participating pinteries slinging summery suds include Brooklyn and Six Point, plus Warrenville's Two Brothers, and Goose Island, which'll bring everything from its ESB Honkers Ale to its 312 Urban Wheat, better than 311 Urban Wheat in that it will actually help you get down, down.

Eats: The fleet of food pushers making their way over includes meat heavyweights like Jimmy's No. 43 and Fette Sau, oceanic operators Luke's Lobster, a nameless pusher of Australian meat pies, and sweets from the Big Gay Ice Cream truck and the Bent Spoon (clearly no one's skipping straight to dessert).

Music: Tunes, courtesy of tri-state bluegrassers, will be appropriately casual (no stages, no sets), including a dedicated ukulele jam area where everyone'll be super lei'd back.
Details are still being ironed out, but about 15 more food vendors are expected to join the action, enthusiasm that bodes well for the actual return of this party next season.
