Oh what a night! The first awards show of the season did not disappoint. Here's a list of Moms' Favorite Moments from the 2014 Golden Globes, or as I like to call them, "The Golden Rattles" (in my mind, I hand out these awards wearing a Carolina Herrera emerald green gown):

1. The Baby Bumpoff

Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington and Drew Barrymore sported the hottest accessory of the night: baby bumps! The trio looked gorgeous and perhaps healthier than ever thanks to a few extra pounds, but I think Olivia Wilde earned the Golden Rattle for Best Dressed Pregnant Woman with her free-flowing hair, glowing skin and a form-fitting, tummy-hugging, Gucci gown.

2. Two Funny Moms in Charge

When you want to have a good night, put two moms in charge of the festivities. Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were even funnier than last year, so shame on the event organizers for trimming their time on stage. Their best joke of the night: "George Clooney would rather float away and die then spend one more minute with a woman his own age."

3. The Girl Scouts theme song

In a bizarre twist perfectly fitting mom Diane Keaton, she wrapped her acceptance speech on behalf of Woody Allen for the Cecil B. DeMille Award by singing the popular Girl Scouts song, "Make New Friends," in a little girl's voice. You could practically hear every mom in the country going, "Huh?"

4. Nanny McPhee's barefoot barista look

When Emma Thompson hit the stage with bare feet and a cocktail in hand to present an award, I thought, now there's a mom I'd like to friend! I wasn't alone. Twitter blew up with cheers from women the minute she reached the microphone. When she tossed her uncomfortable heels over her shoulder in order to free a hand for the envelope containing the winner's name, every pajama-clad woman watching jumped up with excitement -- nearly tipping over her wine glass.

5. Matthew McConaughey admitting his wife kicked his ass

The hot pop of three and his equally hot mama, Camila Alves, made the Golden Globes a date night, and that's a good thing because he beat out legends Tom Hanks and Robert Redford for Best Actor in a Drama. In his acceptance speech, he gave Camila the credit for kicking his ass and pushing him to tackle the roll that required him to lose 45 pounds.

6. Robin Wright's sprint to the stage

While it seemed to take everyone forever to get to the stage last night, leave it to Sean Penn's ex and the mother of two to show everyone she's in tip-top shape by finding alternate routes and breaking into a sprint. She accepted her award a tad breathless, but at least she kept things moving. I know toddlers who can dress themselves faster than some of the award recipients made it to the stage last night. Whoever came up with the seating chart needs a reassignment of their own next year.
