Fixing My Feng Shui

Everything she said that was wrong, I had changed my office to be. All the bad things I had done: as I sat at the desk, my back was to the door; I faced a wall and also a window, this was supposedly bad for many reasons.

A couple of years ago, I moved my office around to accommodate my new drawing table, it was a big thing I got at one of the art supply stores and I was all excited to use it for cartooning. It didn't fit in my office the way the current set up was so I moved things around. The ironic part is that I got a Wacom Cintiq at that time and I never ended up using the drawing board, but there it was, taking up lots of space up.

I had my friend Johnny come over to help me set up the Cintiq and while he was here we moved the office around so things would fit. The drawing table now is a dust collector, but still, there it was next to my desk.

In that move, I think I hurt business. This sounds crazy to people who don't feel that the energy in our lives, mainly the feng shui, is important. It has nothing to do with religion and it's nothing magical or spooky, it's energy. From Wikipedia: it's "harmonizing the human existence with the surrounding environment." Anyway, we moved my desk from the way it was to an awkward set up. I really didn't think about it until last night while watching The Real Housewives of Orange County (yes, I watch it). A lady came in to explain to Vickie Gunvalson, one of the housewives, how her insurance office should be changed around in order to redirect the flow of money and not have it leave the room or building.

My business was always great, I couldn't keep up with it at times and then all at once, it just came to a standstill, while things are better lately, it has not been like it was and I really believe the feng shui was off when we moved the room around.

So early this morning I moved things back. It didn't take long, I just dragged things around and now I am set up like I used to be during all those years that I flourished. Let's see what happens.

I also got info on one of the Orange County housewife shows about a medical problem a while back. That's another story, but the show does seem to be educational at times, at least for me.
