The economy has gotten so dire that recently it has come to light that even professional entertainers are being forced into a life of crime. Rap has always been a good gauge of where we are at in our society. Grandmaster Flash's song "The Message" with his lyric: "Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge, I'm trying not to lose my head." Conveyed brilliantly the struggle many young men faced in the ghettos in the 70's. Later on the group NWA did the same by exposing the world to the impoverished LA ghettos in of the '80's. Hip hop generally parallels the problems of the time period. Recently two New York comedians took to the mic to express their growing frustration with the lagging economy and their need to have to take matters into their own hands and get money however, and from whoever possible. The result is their new video "How to Rob Comics." It's just further proof that things have truly gotten out of control. TMC and CKC are telling it like it is and no one is safe from their wrath, not even Phyllis Diller. But be warned, these images are shocking and awesome.
