Also: due to a family emergency last week, I came late to lipstick-on-a-pig-gate, but here's a cartoon from August that pretty much summed it up in advance ...

The "stupid distraction" strip could hardly be more applicable to MSNBC's Morning Joe than if it had been written specifically for it. I've tuned in a few times over the last week, and EVERY time they've been talking about all those people who say Sarah Palin can't be a mom *and* a vice president. Except THEY're the only ones I ever hear saying such a thing.... to the exclusion of discussing anything substantial regarding her professional record.

Invisible Hands of the Free Market. What a cool secret society that would make! We could have secret meetings in secret lodges, initiations, and... oh, i guess we could just have another round of golf at the country club and do all that. Never mind.

I love your work. I would love to see a cartoon about the wall of Secret Service that surrounds palin & family at all times, so that the media can't get close enough to ask a question; also, Palin being interviewed by, say, Amy Goodman.

The fact that we are not allowed to interview a candidate but are asked to hire her on faith is ludicrous. No self-respecting CEO would hire a 'pig in a poke', so to speak.

"Why do my lips keep flapping?..." LOL Too funny.
Ironically, although Obama never did use the lipstick/pig reference to disparage Palin, the McCain campaign immediately did. I figure they must know something we don't... Hmmm....

Hey Tom -- doesn't it feel great to be right? (sarcasm, deep sigh, shuffle off to carboard box in skid row)

One of the joys of my local newspaper is Tom Tomorrow with its amazing ability to sum things up perfectly
