Things Your Bed Would Say

Most people, myself included, tend to buy a bed from Ikea because we're too lazy to look anywhere else. This really doesn't make any sense though as our shopping shortcut requires us to construct a bed ourselves.

Most people, myself included, tend to buy a bed from Ikea because we're too lazy to look anywhere else. This really doesn't make any sense though as our shopping shortcut requires us to construct a bed ourselves. Putting an Ikea bed together is tough, but reassembling one after a move (if the MDF survives the journey), is nearly impossible. Ikea recently donated 180K worth of furnishings to Syrian refugees in Canada. I think this was very generous. However, as a married man who has suffered building Ikea furniture with his wife, I can't help but think their arrival may be bittersweet.

I donated our bed to the Salvation Army, and my wife and I bought our first real bed. It's made from actual wood and cloth and has bits that pop up for reading and everything! This was not cheap, but we put it together in minutes, didn't fight, and it should last a lifetime.

This is the best bed we've ever had.

The worst bed I have ever had was an air mattress. As a young artist it's all I could afford, and it was not a hit with the ladies. I think the slow leak was the most depressing aspect. I would bring a gal home and then have to quickly pump it up before she changed her mind. Not cool.

I started thinking about those other beds, and who is on them now. I decided to put this to Twitter using the original hashtag #ThingsYourBedWouldSay with the help of frequent funnyman, William (@Will3K85).

Here's a couple of the good jokes that William and I set the pace with.

The great tweets came in and quickly elevated #ThingsYourBedWouldSay to a top-trending hashtag.

I'm surprised I could even read this tweet.

I love the the lonely angle.

He's a great songwriter AND he's funny!

Ha ha. Someone had to go there.

As a film buff, I was surprised to learn the truth about this saying.

Excellent wordplay!

Ha!

I've actually slept on beds this bad on the road and included a picture of one in my first book.

Yes, we eat in bed and we love it.

Points for originality!

Too cute. I'm always happy to see PETA get involved with a trending hashtag.

Thanks for reading,
Tommy Campbell
