As a long-time penthouse resident, I have come to understand the intricacies of what it takes to buy, sell, and maintain this exceptional type of property. With that, I am proud to introduce the very first episode of Penthouse Authority, a series of video interviews with experts who specialize in tending to the unique needs of penthouses, from landscape architects, to interior designers, irrigation engineers, and more.

One of the most revered attributes of a New York penthouse is its outdoor space, a private oasis
where you can escape the fast pace of the city. Tending to a terrace in New York City can be a
daunting task. In fact, creating outdoor rooms with enduring design and comfort is a true form of
art. I recently sat down with Bonnie Billet, one of my favorite landscape designers, at one of the
most special private terraces in Manhattan, a masterpiece that she created for my dear friend.
