College Crime

Survivor John Kelly explains the "roadblocks" facing queer victims.
Nearly 5 percent of students at the University of Kentucky say they were sexually assaulted in the past year, but most of the cases went unreported, according to a survey conducted by the college.
The most important thing is to validate the victim's experience, according to Rosemonde Pierre-Louis.
Across party lines, people aren't happy with colleges and universities.
The former NFL players say "locker room culture" and a troublesome definition of masculinity are part of the problem.
"When we send our young people away for college, we want them to have an enriched learning experience, and they shouldn't have to suffer from what we know is a crime," Jarrett said. "And it's happening to the point where it's really an epidemic."
Victims turn to their universities for help, but get warned that they, too, could face disciplinary charges.
Students can risk losing their only support system when they have to report on one of their own.
