The presidential hopeful spoke to low-wage workers protesting outside the U.S. Capitol. "You are having a profound impact," he said.
Workers around the country are protesting in favor of a minimum wage increase.
"Your advocacy is changing our country for the better," Clinton tells protesters.
The campaign says workers earning less than $15 per hour are “a voting bloc that can no longer be ignored.”
The worker was also reprimanded for discussing wages with his colleagues, which is a federal right.
Portlanders decide not to follow the lead of Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
