Laverne Shirley
The actor died in Los Angeles at age 75 on Wednesday after a brief illness, her children, Zak and Emily Hudson, said in a statement.
Hollywood director Penny Marshall has died from complications of diabetes.
In addition to her role as Laverne DeFazio on "Laverne & Shirley," Marshall was the director of classic films like "Big" and "A League of Their Own."
