Kimpton Hotels, a chain with a legion of devoted followers thanks to its evening wine receptions and cozy animal print robes, has discounted stays at three Alexandria, Va., properties. In a one-day sale, rates at the Hotel Monaco Alexandria, Morrison House and Lorien Hotel & Spa have been cut, you guessed it, 29%. Nightly rates start at $113.

The oceanfront Sanderling resort, an upscale property in North Carolina's Outer Banks, is encouraging folks to "leap to the beach" with a promotion that brings room rates to $250 for the first evening and $29 for the second on weekday stays in March.

Find your gadget of choice and set an alert: from 2:29 - 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday, stays at Boston's The Charles Hotel will be discounted by that day's magic number for reservations made online.
Midwest
One of the latest additions to the Windy City's skyline is the gleaming Trump Chicago, and stays at this luxury property are rarely discounted. Take 29% off suites for travel April 1-June 30. This discount is also valid at the properties in New York, Las Vegas, Waikiki, Panama and Toronto.
West
Spend this year's extra hours soaking up the sights and sounds of San Diego's popular Gaslamp Quarter, with this offer from the Westin, where your third night is $29. First and second night stays are $199.
