Mornings and I, we just don't jive. Somewhere between snooze numbers seven and nine, I manage to role out of bed, rush to throw on a pot of coffee, and hop into the shower. If your eyelashes look anything like mine (tiny, little hairs with blonde tips), you know that there is one all important aspect of the morning routine that cannot be skipped - makeup! You might clutch to your mascara wand like it's your best friend, first starting with a solid eyelash curl and working your way to a perfectly voluminous and lengthened set of eyelashes. You might even add a carefully winged eye and a perfect pout to boot!

People in your life would be hard-pressed to ever see you without your face done up, because you live in constant fear of three phrases.

"Wow, you look really tired."

Actually, I got a solid 9 hours of sleep last night. I'll make sure that my little, stubbly eyelashes are always coated with blackest black waterproof to stop this confusion from ever happening again.

"Hmm, you look really different today."

Yes, my cheeks are indeed missing my standard Benefit Posie Tint glow. Thank you for noticing!

"Are you sick? You don't look well."

Can't a girl just have a day where they might have two papers due AND a midterm, and just maybe, sleep through their alarm and not have time to get through their standard beauty routine?

On the flip side, deciding which makeup look you want to ultimately go with can be just as fear inducing. Sometimes you just want to have a bit of fun, adding purples and greens to your eyelids, or giving that royal blue winged eyeliner a go. Heck, you might want to throw a smoky eye on, even though it's a Tuesday afternoon and you're just running errands. But, in the back of your mind, you feel that there is always going to be someone, saying SOMETHING about what you choose to put on or keep off your face.

Makeup can be used to highlight your best features, as an artistic expression, because it helps you feel comfortable in your skin, and everything in between. Whether it's being daring, or sticking to your own simple lip and liner combo that you rely on everyday, your relationship with makeup is YOURS and YOURS only.
