Why We Love Garbanzo Bean Meals

I have tried some great recipe ideas and one that I could hardly forget when I tried it recently was the roasted garbanzo beans. It's interesting to know that these legumes have been around for 7000 years and today India, Pakistan, Turkey, Ethiopia and Mexico are the highest producers.

Whenever I feel exhausted and weighed down by the amount of work I have to do and by getting up every morning to go to some office, I think about a coming holiday and I'm calm. All is right in the world again and I can summon up strength to go out and kick a**. It's not just the holiday that gives me extra fuel to push further, it's all the juices, food, laughter and fun that come with the holiday. Oh the food! I don't have to be a great cook to really appreciate the creativity and beauty of a well cooked meal. Now thoughts like these give me real joy.

In a few weeks another holiday will set in, the United States Independence Day and once again, it'll be an opportunity to relax, spoil yourself with a great meal and great bottle of wine. Some meals are peculiar to some holidays like turkey is to thanksgiving. However, sometimes, a little freedom and adventure should be tried in the kitchen. May be get some recipe online or from a great 'cook-friend' and whip something amazing. Get friends over and let laughter flow like fine wine.

I have tried some great recipe ideas and one that I could hardly forget when I tried it recently was the roasted garbanzo beans. It's interesting to know that these legumes have been around for 7000 years and today India, Pakistan, Turkey, Ethiopia and Mexico are the highest producers. Impressively, the garbanzo bean is low in saturated fat and really low in cholesterol and sodium. On the flip side, it has high folate and magnesium content. People are reported to have lesser need to snack on other things when they include these babies in their diet.

When you're eager to eat healthy, as I am, then recipes like these, with the garbanzo beans, will excite you. For your next holiday, you could try the sweet and sour Garbanzo beans recipe for a change. The recipe isn't so bulky and it doesn't take so long to get ready. While some are great master benders in the kitchen, some are not so eager to do magic. It really doesn't mean you can't have fun during the holidays or eat something healthy as well. There are tons of easy recipes for people who can't really cook. I learnt a few and it felt like a light bulb came on in my head.

What really is important is that we eat healthy while not totally deleting the fun and excitement of being a foodie. Whether a great cook or not, holiday or not, food should be enjoyed. And with these recipes, I bet you would enjoy them too.
