1) West Virginia broke from Virginia over the slavery issue, so your snide comment that "they're holding a grudge over the Civil War" is utter nonsense.

2) West Virginia will vote for ANY candidate who makes issues of poverty and the environment a cornerstone of his/her campaign. At this point, the only candidate talking about the environment seems to be John McCain.
