The Huffington Post acts as a gatekeeper to block some of the most innocuous but factual posts imagineable. Primarily they have to do with Israel or comments about the comment policy itself but can kick in for almost any reason whatsoever. I feel this is a concerted effort to discourage commentary that would puncture their official narrative.
(UPDATE) Previously banned account reinstated but will wait and see how they implement policy from here on in. So far, so good. I think they banned so many people or moderated comments with too heavy a hand to the point that they probably lost considerable traffic. I know I stopped reading them for that period.
(2nd UPDATE) Huffpo is up to their same old tricks as far as gatekeeping goes. One commenter was able to go on at length about the Palestinian/Nazi connection, but screened comments showing a Zionist/Nazi connection (see: 51 Documents: Zionist Collaboration With the Nazis by Lenni Brenner - http://www.amazon.com/51-Documents-Zionist-Collaboration-Nazis/dp/1569802351/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top )
This is wrong because it filters information to suit an agenda. This is unacceptable.
