Mark Koltko-Rivera, Ph.D., regularly comments regarding social issues at the blog "On the Mark: Social Commentary From a Reflective Perspective," which often features expanded versions of his comments on The Huffington Post.
Dr. Koltko-Rivera is the Director of Research at Professional Services Group, Inc., where he is responsible for funded psychological research and the professional futurism practice.
Dr. Koltko-Rivera is an elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association, three divisions of which have presented him with awards for his scientific and scholarly work. He has published significant scholarship regarding the psychology of worldviews, as well as regarding Mormonism, and Freemasonry.
He is a graduate of Haverford College, Fordham University, and New York University. Dr. Koltko-Rivera has taught statistics and basic counseling skills at New York University and the University of Central Florida.
Mark was born and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in New York City. He has lived for significant periods of time in central Florida and Japan, and now lives in Manhattan. He is both a Latter-day Saint (a "Mormon") and a Freemason.
Dr. Koltko-Rivera often comments about the ethical, moral, and spiritual implications of events in the spheres of politics, science, and technology. He also comments on instances where statistics are misunderstood, especially in contexts where this has implications for public policy.
