Traveled the world and found my best place is the Pacific Northwest in a little house, a small garden above the lake, partner of forty years and two little dogs. Cozy as hell. Hobbity as hell. Counting my blessings. Sit in my Ivory Tower, think and pull weeds. (In a past life was one of those Romans who sat out the barbarians in a rural house and mourned for Rome's lost Republic.) It's a bubble. It's ephemeral. I know it.
