Like many of us I find I define myself by my relationships: my parents were public school teachers and my dad is an Episcopal priest, my husband is a master toolmaker, my kids are four in number 25-11 and my grandchildren are two, my friends are so odd and varied a party at my house looks like a cross section of weirdness. I'm middle aged, almost middle class, kinda caucasion, kinda asian and my heroes are mostly black women.

I live in North Carolina in the district formerly 'represented' by Chainsaw Charlie Taylor and can say without guilt that I miss Jesse Helms because at least he was a man of conviction unlike Senators Burr and Dole.

My passion is family and my religion is love and loyalty. I've fostered older kids and I've thrown adults out on the streets. My goal is to prepare my family to survive the fall of Rome and to have all the laundry caught up one day.
