The Wall Street Journal opined in early August 2014 that Jeff Sessions leads the "GOP's Deportation Caucus." Sen. Sessions is directing a mean-spirited congressional effort to "deport as many children as rapidly as possible" by reversing DACA and deporting 600,000 Dreamers.
Sen. Sessions seeks every opportunity to exploit the humanitarian crisis playing out at our nation's Southern border. He shouts "no amnesty" and "no surrender to our lawless president." Having for years obstructed comprehensive immigration reform, Sessions is escalating his war against immigrants.
Sessions' Deportation Caucus will not stop with expelling Dreamers, next they will come for millions of undocumented workers. Sessions' Deportation Caucus henchman Rep. Mo Brooks accuses such workers of stealing "8 million job opportunities" from "American citizens." Jeff Sessions uses "anti-immigrant" rhetoric to dog-whistle signal his Deportation Caucus to be more direct in their racial arguments as indicated in shocking "war on whites" statements. Sessions' key House surrogate (and fellow Alabamian) Mo Brooks infamously describes President Barack Obama's policies: "This is a part of the war on whites that's being launched by the Democratic Party." Sessions' appeal to fear and bias is direct.
My DeportJeffSessions.com message is equally direct: Jeff Sessions must be challenged and his Deportation Caucus publicly shamed.
And Alabama voters must be given a November ballot choice to decide whether the presently "unopposed" Sessions takes a fourth Senate term.
DeportJeffSessions.com asks Alabama voters to consider DEPORTING their anti-immigrant senator to New York City. Celebrity Sessions can move-on-up to a multimillion-dollar Fox News commentator position. Like the less-harsh Mike Huckabee who honorably self-deported, Jeff Sessions is the perfect Fox News fit.
Fox-News Negative: Jeff Sessions Does Not Represent Alabama's True Heart
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, III is nothing if not negative. Sen. Sessions is against tax cuts for working families; against voting rights; against healthcare reform; against combating human trafficking; against America honoring its debt payments; and against food stamps for the poor and hungry.
Sessions is passionately against women, against environmental protection, and against health care for military veterans.
Jeff Sessions' bias against immigrants is near-fanatical.
Best for Jeff Sessions to go-ahead-up to Manhattan Island and join talk radio celebrities Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham, who reward his harsh rhetoric with possible 2016 presidential promotion chatter. GOP Allows No Ballot Opposition or Seventeenth Amendment Direct Election; Prof. Williams answers a 21st-Century Macedonian Call.
Unfortunately, the incumbent Sessions has no general election opposition in Alabama and did not have a primary contest. Sessions is effectively being appointed to the Senate.
As I relayed in prior Precious Memories posts, the GOP establishment bosses, in total control of Alabama government, will not tolerate such lese majeste. No Alabamian dares challenge Sessions. Thus I launch this "outside-agitator" ballot-access campaign.
In order to run against Sessions, I timely filed a Ballot Petition and related legal challenge with Alabama's Secretary of State. I did so after learning that struggling Alabama Democrats had failed to field a candidate. It is without intended comparison to contemporary history's greatest civil rights leader that I cite Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 1963 LETTER FROM A BIRMINGHAM JAIL:
I think I should indicate why I am here in Birmingham, since you have been influenced by the view which argues against 'outsiders coming in.' We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial 'outside agitator' idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds..
As a former law clerk to an Alabama federal judge, I humbly answer a 21st Century "Macedonian call" to leave my Maryland home to return South to defend the Seventeenth Amendment.
I am proud to be what a young George C. Wallace damned federal judge Frank Johnson as- a "carpetbagging, scalawagging [immigrationist]." Otherwise, I aver Article I, Section 3 qualifications for the national office. And each one of the 100 U.S. Senate seats is a national office.
State GOP Denies Ballot Access; Is Jeff Sessions Afraid to Give Alabamians a November Choice?
As I noted in prior Precious Memories posts, Alabama Republican state officials have hobbled the Alabama Democratic Party with surprise changes in filing deadlines, illegal redistricting, and discriminatory voter I.D. enforcement.
On July 15, 2014, the Republican Secretary of State continued that discriminatory pattern by rejecting my ballot petition. I am forced to federal court to demand ballot access. As explained at DeportJeffSessions.com, a ballot access suit is a "tough row to hoe."
DeportJeffSessions.com is my individual effort. But, I need all support possible from inside and outside Alabama to fight Jeff Sessions, his Senate obstructionist ilk and his Congressional Deportation Caucus.
But for the immediate; why is the GOP establishment intent on keeping an underfunded, nonresident academic off the ballot? Why is Jeff Sessions afraid of giving Alabamians a ballot choice?
Perhaps poor Jeff Sessions is just afraid of New York City repatriation. Hailing a taxi or taking a lunch at Carnegie Deli will involve more real competition than Sessions has had in a decade.
But I have faith that Celebrity Jeff can make the transition. In future posts, I will detail how I knew U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions while living Alabama.
