Take A Swing At Your Insecurities

A breakup, divorce or any setback that we face in life can catapult us in a whirlwind of emotional insecurities, where our core beliefs and certainties take a hit, leaving us in turmoil having to rethink and make adjustments to the direction of our life. Yet it is at this very moment that we need to make the conscious choice to be happy.

Unless and until we take a swing at our insecurities we cannot begin exploring our possibilities.

We often talk about success, reaching for the stars and awakening the giant within us. In my opinion however there are two fundamental elements in life, the first one is knowing who we are at the very core of our inner being, and the second one is being happy with who we are.

My definition of happiness is not defined by a success that is generally determined by the revenue it generates. It's about the journey towards inner happiness and along with happiness comes personal freedom, freedom from the station of complaint, freedom from our ego that withhold us from the realization of our life purpose.

True success comes with the ability to face life with audacity, relentless in our pursuit of happiness and free from the constant material wants that we impose on ourselves. In this digital age many are the advocates of success formulas, a success that is always defined by a dollar sign.

In setting on the journey for our personal freedom we have to be weary of the bright lights that shine in front of us, those lights that are lighted up by the constant wants of our ego and that will inevitably take us on many detours. Our ego will never allow us to be free from its claws, consuming us to the very core of our essence as human beings.

We embed our conversations with negative words. We complain when we fail to make changes, we express hate when something is different and we justify our inability to be where we want to be with the word I need to be "realistic". People tell us to be realistic only because they did not pursue their personal freedom.

Realistic in my vocabulary means don't try harder, don't hustle life but get hassled by it.

To take a swing at our insecurities is possible for all, we just need to stop being realistic and stop complaining about the "what ifs" in our life just because we haven't pursued our dreams and given hope the light of day.

If our life gets constantly derailed at the station of complaint we will not be able to achieve anything and, above all, happiness will not board the train with us.

We too often forget to be thankful for what we already have. When we complain, even if we had the world's treasure at our feet we wouldn't know how to be happy.
The tools to achieve success and happiness in life are already within us. Opportunities are there in the plentiful, we just need to focus on our efforts to be whole with ourselves and make every endeavor towards achieving our inner happiness in our heart.

When we embark on the journey we cannot complain about how difficult the road is, because every time we complain, our inability to accept life and its challenges will take us a step back from our destination. When we face life with audacity we will not have the courage to complain about the length or the difficulty of the journey; we will just make the necessary steps and actions that will take us closer to our destination.

Our ability to take a swing at our insecurities is determined by how we respond to life and how we listen to life's messages. I therefore urge you to take a swing at your insecurities. Do it! And do it now, or you'll live a life caged within the walls of "what ifs".
