We spend most of our lives having no clue what we are doing on this earth. We may have a 'to-do' list, or a schedule, but in the bigger picture, most of us are not privy to this information.
We don't have to possess the exact formula. That's for very special people; it is a rarity to know one's previous incarnation, what they did, and what they have to do in this lifetime.
But we all have a sense of some of the stuff we need to do and don't need to do. We are conscious of the directions to follow and not to follow.
My point is, we don't need to know EXACTLY why we're here. We just need to have the certainty that we'll get there and accomplish our mission.
We need to have complete certainty that things will work out, not because we are righteous or wise, but because of the time, the effort, the prayers, and the tools we are using. From the moment we are given awareness about some bigger picture or mission, we have to have complete focus on what to do to get to that place.
Because of that, things will work out. Because of our time, effort, prayers and connection, we'll get to the complete certainty. A person can have real certainty simply by doing the work.
If you are messing around all day and then scream for certainty, you're not going to get it. If you spend energy and do the work and develop that certainty, you'll get to where you need to be, even if you don't know exactly where that is.
Spending time on not having the certainty can also mess you up. We must constantly be moving towards our destination. Exactly what the destination is, isn't that important. Exactly what it is to fix, isn't that important.
If a person's financial situation is bad, how much of his time and energy is focused on finding the money to pay the bills, answering the debt collectors, and so on - a lot. Someone who is married for 5-7 years and unable to have kids, how many ups and downs do they experience because of that situation -- a lot. When someone is battling a health issue -- they spend more time on themselves than they did before they found out about the health issue.
Five years ago I didn't pray for my dad three times a day every single day. Now every righteous person's resting place that I go to, every single prayer I utter, every opportunity I get -- I send that Light to my father. Unfortunately, it's a little late -- not too late, but it's less effective now than it would have been if I had prayed before his health situation came up.
Before we come to a challenging situation, before the universe squeezes us, how much of our effort is geared toward the reason we came to this world? The more focu s we have on the front end, the less focus we end up needing on the back end. We won't need to be thinking about what to do tomorrow -- how to face the lawyer, the doctor, the bank -- freaking out waiting for test results, how to pay the third mortgage.
The bottom line is: We must be working on arriving at the destination for which we were put on this planet.
While doubt is not an option, questions must be asked. We can ask God. We can turn to our teachers - What can I do more? What am I not doing? What can I do differently? Being a defeatist, a doubter, saying it's not going to happen doesn't work.
This week, let's get (back) on target. Know that with the effort you put into your transformation, your connection and your growth, you WILL arrive at your destination.
And if you're not sure that you're on the right track, reach out and ask for help in getting your bearings.
All the best,
Yehuda

Where we, I go will depend on the growth of said consciousness.
Of this I am certain.
I have been to the top of the mountain.
For those who have ears to hear listen and remember these words.
Peace and Joy to all.
I guess it is true people who never do anything never have problems.
I on the other hand have been busy as a 3 legged dog since I was 12 years old and never thought about why are we here. I just had to deal with being here and fight the battle in front of me.
The author's comments border on speaking for his deity, describing what can happen if you pray to this deity, and he assumes that we all are associated with his deity from the Torah or Old Testament. His god has a history of being violent, pathologically murderous in that the deity maimed and killed people for absolutely no reason at times. His god is one of war, genocide, pain and suffering.
I would have spent more time trying to communicate with my father about his memories, and what he wanted to say to me before he passed from this world.

I would rather spend more time with my father and give him the best treatment I can afford.
Much like a book. The story goes along, the main character interacts with others, and the collection of those experiences turn into a life. Only at the conclusion can we see "a bigger picture".
I believe that if you try to live as a decent life as you can, not trying to bring harm to others, then things tend to work out.
What I don't understand and is why we have to introduce the supernatural into that ethos.
I kiss you for that! Smooch! The simple truth seems the hardest to arrive at ... (May I end a sentence with "at?")

It's a big money-maker. For example, you can buy a red string from them (like the one Madonna has) for just $26.
I'm pretty sure that this isn't what the Lord of Hosts had in mind.
The Red String itself is quite a production. It's made from the wool of a certain kind of sheep, and dyed red using a specific kind of organic dye. Then it is wrapped around the Tomb of Rachel (yes, in Israel) seven times.
Yes, you could buy yourself a sheep, and spin the wool into a string, dye it yourself, then fly to Israel and wrap the string around Rachels' Tomb yourself. I wonder what all that would cost? More than $26 maybe?
Of course, none of this works unless you BELIEVE it does, and that's priceless.
So the red string bidness sounds like a winner to me, especially if they get your name on a mailing list so they can upsell you on the next "level" of salvation, enlightenment or whatever they're calling it.
Selling the customer some relatively cheap lucky tchotchke (google it) is always in vogue, whether it's a relic of the Buddha, a sliver of the cross of Jesus, or a nice pebble from Medina.
If I BELIEVE hard enough, would fake red string "work"?
