I'll be attending Rootscamp this weekend in Washington, D.C., where I'll sit on a panel of prominent political organizers including Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Harry Waisbren of SuperVoters.org, Winnie Wong, a remarkable OWS activist who has been organizing relief efforts in the Rockaways with Occupy Sandy, and Amy Miller a recent Obama Field Organizer and OWS activist.

The Panel will be in Session 2 on Saturday, December 1st at 11:30 AM.

The panel will invite participants from both RootsCamp and OWS to discuss how we might combine the strengths of occupy and the strengths of netroots to build a bottom up movement of political change in a campaign for City Council. The panel wil use as a platform to discuss this, the recent Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, and in specific Occupy Sandy. Some of the questions the panelists will be asked are "How do you think Democratic voters will react in a local race to a candidate who, like Yetta, participates in and supports the occupy movement? How could new media impact a race like Yetta's?
