Every December 10th, the Nobel prizes for Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine and Economics are handed out in Stockholm by the King of Sweden, with the Swedish royal family in attendance (the Peace prize is awarded on the same day in Oslo, Norway). This was the first Nobel ceremony for Crown Princess Victoria since her marriage, and she showed off her newlywed glow in a stunning Elie Saab silk gown with embroidered details. Topping off the dazzling look was the Napoleonic steel-cut tiara, a diamond necklace, and pearl drop earrings.

Elie Saab seems to be Victoria's designer of choice for evening glamor - she also wore one of his creations, in regal purple, to last year's Nobel ceremony, as well as a Saab beaded gown with a train the night before her wedding.

Scroll through to see Princess Victoria's dress and jewels for the Nobel ceremony over the past few years, and vote for your favorite look.

I'm sorry, but wearing her tiara she looks like the winner of the Miss Sweden pageant. Not that that's a bad thing...just probably not the look she intended. Is she required to wear that thing?

I love wowing people with my beauty at Nobel prize ceremonies. It happens quite often.

What a fabulous way to mock the people worldwide who are still suffering from the effects of the recession.

Shouldn't the princess of Sweden be a blonde as natural blondes are one of their greatest natural resources in my opinion?
03:49 PM on 12/14/2010
There are some natural blondes there and elsewhere in Europe, but it is stereotypical to assume that most Swedes and other Scandinavians are natural blondes. As in the rest of the world, the majority of Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, etc. are brunettes.

The Bernadottes were imported from France in 1810.

Victoria is delightful and the Godmother of Europe.

If we are talking premier league, and assessing qualities, Mary and Mathilde rank far ahead of Letizia. We may not know much about Kate yet, but she has to date been way better than the York branch and I expect her to cruise to the level of the others in several years.

Are you serious?
02:15 PM on 12/15/2010
That's Ridiculous!

Letizia doesn't rank behind any of them.

She married the love of her life. He wasn't royalty, but treated her as such. She's glowing because she found the person that makes and changes her world.

A real lady. There is the premier league: Princess Diana, Queen Rania, Princess Letizia, and Princess Victoria

Then there is the non league: Kate Middleton, Sarah Ferguson and her daughters

Well, Kate Middleton isnt even married yet. Give her some time. So far she seems to be a contender for a possible 'real lady'. Speaking stricktly fashion-wise her clothing is tasteful, colorful, and appropriate. And I like her hats!

Nothing against her, but come on, you don't have to be married to be a lady.

Princess Mary of Denmark is up there with Victoria - total class and beauty.

Princess Letizia? please
03:11 PM on 12/13/2010
Letizia outshines all of them. She is a real lady

Lovely lady. The beige dress is au courant, but tasteful...thank goodness. One can have a bare back in a formal setting without showing things that are best left for lovers and doctors to view.
