Just about every TV show had its "food moment" in 2011, and "The Simpsons" was no exception. In the November 13th episode entitled "The Food Wife," Marge takes an interest in food blogging. Food TV fans and industry insiders snickered knowingly watching Marge, Bart and Lisa create "Three Mouthkateers," a food blog exploring the wide world of ethnic eats and molecular gastronomy.

Cameos by cartoon versions of Anthony Bourdain, Mario Batali, Tom Colicchio and Jose Andres were all part of the fun. Pillows of smoke alluded to Grant Achatz's Alinea while vibrating breath mints and pork chops "one hundred ways" played up the ridiculousness of the American culinary landscape that we all know and love.
