It will be the first time we're bringing all our delegates together on the eve of the Convention, the first time so much access will be given to the online community and the first time an African American will accept the nomination.
With the media having sold out the First Amendment rights of protesters for the sake of their own financial interests, it is now left to a handful of civil liberties organizations and protesters to challenge these restrictions in court.
Our Netroots All-Stars have important work in the countdown to Election Day. Americans are hungry for change and eager to be part of something larger than themselves.
Steve Hildebrand, deputy campaign manager for the Obama campaign, just announced at the Netroots Nation convention a "three-day massive voter registration drive for Labor Day weekend, after the Democratic National Convention."

Every minute spent trying to fill Hillary Clinton's tin cup is a minute not spent raising that same money for Obama or myriad other candidates. She has sucked bank-fulls of cash out of the DNC donor rolls.
The DNC has committed an act of war. YouTube darling Harriet Christian fired back bullets of passion. Pretty? No. But she revealed the depth of frustration many people are feeling right now. That she did.
So, how does the Democratic Party get a nominee before the convention? Seems to me there's two things that need to happen. One small, one big.
It's time for uncommitted superdelegates to stop their dithering, hop off the fence and officially bring this nominating process to an end. Hillary has earned the right to stay in the race until the bitter end. So it's up to the superdelegates to accelerate the bitter end. And it's up to us to pressure them to do exactly that. Read More Hillary Clinton's Defeat: A Historic Triumph The greatest triumph of Clinton's campaign is the example she has set for the next generation. And not just for young women; her dedication, perseverance, and indefatigable drive make her a role model for young men as well. Read More
While Gov. Jennifer Granholm has come over strongly to Obama, waving a blue heeled shoe in the air on one occasion, Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer has been conspicuously inarticulate.
Obama's open platform process provides an opportunity for LGBT Americans to be heard, first-hand, in a way that we never have been before.
We're seven weeks from the biggest speech in a generation by any figure in American politics. If you can be there in person, go. Take your children. It's an event you'll remember the rest of your lives.
A daily American Samoa seat raffle in the Blogger Lounge. The Big Tent. The Mile High Stadium events. The inadequacy of three thousand data lines -- just some of the many mysteries unfolding in Denver.
Protest groups met in Denver last Sunday morning to share information about their plans and to try to heal a rift among the activists. There are those of us who have renounced violence and those who will not.
The Field's DNC blogging credential has been kidnapped -- there is a matter of principle at stake here that is part of the larger struggle to change the Democratic Party and the country.

Well done! If she wants to be Repub nobody is stopping her. She cannot have her cake and eat it too. Now she is free to do whatever she pleases. Good ridance.
they finally got some balls, if they would only stand up to this administration.
The puppetmaster lost control of one.
Freed just in time to enable her register for the Repug convention
I can't think of a better way to create a ...mole.
Now, she is on both payrolls.
Life..! Don't you love it?
Kinda like being on a jury. You can vote how you want, just don't tell. If they ask after the vote - tell them nothing. Perhaps smile. End of story.
The outhor of the article could do a little research and site the "rule" about "supporting" the candidate of the pledged delegate and what that means.
Also do the rules say "the party" can/must "strip" Debra Bartoshevich of her status as a delegate. How do they determine "support"?
How many pages of rules do the democrats have?
Does anyone but lawyers have them, or read them?
Apparently they are hard to get.
**Dems Oust Delegate? **
Well, its about time !......
She should have been given the boot, the minute she uttered her stupid words...
Exactly.
A delegate can vote for whom ever they wish. It has been done. Just don't utter words about your vote.
Is this a democracy or what?
Now we are making progress. This woman claims she was just speaking out during an emotional time. "POPPYCOCK!" I saw it on this site several weeks ago, where this woman has set up one of those ridiculous "Hillary or McCain" sites. I am glad she has lost her privilege to represent the Democratic Party. Anyone else?
MOBILIZE! OBAMA 4 PRESIDENT!
I absolutely agree with you. I remember when this story first broke. It should have been done at that time, but the end result is good no matter what. The woman is an attention seeking freak. Good riddance.
