Even though she's wallowing in third place in the ratings a year after her much-touted arrival, CBS titan Leslie Moonves defended Katie Couric yesterday, telling the Herald he has no regrets about making her his network's news anchor.
"Not for a second," Moonves said when asked if he had second thoughts over hiring the former "Today" show host.
"We think the show is great. We think she is great. We think the numbers are going to improve, but we think our product is as good as anybody else's," Moonves said. "And I'm still extremely happy that we made the move."
